My Background

I’m a rostered psychotherapist in the state of Vermont. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and my family is originally from Ethiopia. As a late-diagnosed AuDHD black therapist with an immigrant family background, I bring both lived experience and professional training. In 2018, I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. In 2026, I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University. In graduate school, I underwent training and completed coursework specializing in Advanced Clinical Practice, with a field of practice focusing on Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities. For my MSW practicum, I worked as a psychotherapist providing individual therapy for adults and adolescents. Prior to earning my Masters, I spent years working in various mental health and human services roles and settings with individuals across the lifespan- including behavioral therapy, case management, and care management.
