Depression
Depression doesn’t always look like visible sadness. Sometimes it feels like absence. The things that once mattered feel distant. Starting the day takes enormous effort. You may feel exhausted regardless of how much you sleep, disconnected from other people, irritable, hopeless, ashamed, or simply unable to imagine things feeling different. And when ordinary responsibilities continue piling up, depression can generate its own cycle. Struggling to function creates consequences, those consequences create shame, and shame makes functioning even harder.
In therapy, you don’t have to pretend you’re doing better than you are. We can explore what your depression looks like, what may be contributing to it, interrupt patterns that keep you stuck. We’ll work toward reconnecting with yourself, your relationships, and your agency.
